Intertwine was started in 2006 by then 17-year old Tarjei in his bedroom in Larvik, Norway. Tired of reading piano and trumpet sheet music, he started creating his own tracks, weaving distorted and repitched piano, cornet and vocal sounds together into melancholic carpets of reverb, the name of the project: Intertwine. In 2011/2012, three tracks were postet on P3 Urørt. They were all picked up by national radio, while “So what” was awarded Urørt band of the week. 2012 was also the year Intertwine was signed to Oslo indie label Brilliance, and Tarjei moved temporarily to Tokyo to study, write and perform new music. In 2013 Intertwine returns to Norway for what seems to be potentially a very exciting year.
