Matilda Gressberg from Eidskog is barely 18 years old, but does already appears to be a fully formed artist. Her first single, “When Something Ends” has already picked up heavy rotation on Norwegian radio, and her debut album is undoubtedly one of the most solid and impressive Norwegian debut albums in years. The album is produced by Even Ormestad, who also plays several instruments on the album, we also find well known Norwegian artists like Thom Hell (guitarist and co-producer), Jonas Alaska (harmonica), Martin Horntvedt (drums), David Wallumrød (keyboards), Kjetil Grande and Olaf Olsen (drums). A rare assembly of talent if ever there was one, especially given Matilda’s young age. Matilda possesses a great voice, which is both crystal clear and has a extraordinary character, mixed with good pop sensibilities and solid singer/songwriter qualities, not to mention credibility, the result is a very potent mix. Matilda has also written all the songs for the Norwegian film “Til Ungdommen”.
