Disaster In The Universe is a new alternative rock / electronica / psychedelica band with Caribbean instruments and rhythms. With multi-lingual songs delivered in English, French, Portuguese, Spanish and Ronga and on stage the band are described as gleeful explosion of dancey rhythms and last but not least they play a synth mounted in a two meter high palm tree.
Disaster In The Universe and the track “Beach House” has been A-listed on P3 all Summer alongside a host of other stations both domestically and abroad. In their first year the band have already played Slottsfjell, Hove, Øya, Månefestival, Musikkfest, Palmesus as well as several overseas appearances.
On November 22nd the band released their third single “Curiosity”. The track was a priority track for Wimp in Norway who described the track as one of the year’s best Norwegian tracks. Hove were equally effusive, describing the band as on their way to being one of the best in Norway, and Ross Allen from Island Records in the UK reported their show at Øya to be one of the best of the festival.
