In forming Blood Command in 2008 Silje Tombre, Yngve Andersen and Sigurd Haakaas had one aim in mind: to combine the party vibe of the club music they all enjoyed so much with their twin first loves – hardcore and rock. The band hit gold at first strike and were finalists in NRK’s new band comp – Urørt as well as being nominated for a Spellemann gong for their debut long player “Ghostclocks”. In addition to recording a trilogy of EPs the band have toured extensively abroad as well as opening for the likes of Protest, Hero and Comeback Kid. In spite of their hectic schedule the band have found time to record a spanking second album “Funeral Beach” that was a winner with the domestic press with 5/6s in VG, Dagbladet, BA, BT Gaffa, p3 et al. as well as a rather well deserved 5/5 in Kerrang!
