Zawadi is a rapper / singer from Oslo. Over the last year or so he’s made a name for himself off the back of a string of incendiary shows and now signed to Knirckfritt, the world is at his feet. Zawadi is heavily influenced by hip-hop’s golden era as well as reggae, grime, soul and kwaito and is impossible to pigeonhole. His first single for Knirckefritt/EMI was released last Autumn and his debut album with guest appearances from Admiral P, Sisi, Nosizwe and Lotus will see the light of day this year. He’s already got a couple of mixtapes under his belt and has had four singles playlisted by Radio Nova as well as having played Oslo hotspots Rockefeller, Blå, Jaeger, Fugazi, Månefisken and a main stage spot at the Ekstremsportveko festival in Voss.
